Wall mounted board

Filed under: heart, home — fairyguts @ 2:27 am

Problem 1: We have an articulated arm lamp that we like for a variety reasons in the office, but it is a floor lamp and is currently ON my desk. That’s two square feet of prime space that I want for my projects.

Solution: Get it off the table by putting it on the wall. To do that, I solved a different problem.

Problem 2: In rearranging, one of my cork/magnetic boards had to be taken down and it needs a new home.

Solution: Remove the lamp from the lamp base and attach it to the board, then mount the board securely on the wall.

It took a little finagling  but I got the lamp on the board finally and up on the wall – I think it looks great!  I also took the opportunity to put up some decorative shelves for photos. The space is really starting to come together!

  1. Great solution! Cute shelves and I like that you get a lot of natural light in that space.

    • Thanks! I would like a little more light – and so would my ficus! But at least its nearly warm enough to put it out on the front porch again…
